FederalChristina Alexandra Freeland (born August 2, 1968) is a Canadian politician and journalist who served as the 10th deputy prime minister of Canada from 2019 to 2024. A member of the Liberal Party, she was first elected as the member of Parliament (MP) for Toronto Centre in 2013 and then represented University—Rosedale from 2015 to 2026.
